The original name of Bill
Graham's East Coast concert hall, the Village Theater, was abandoned
when he discovered that a previous theater owner retained ownership of
the name. By the time Richie Havens and British Invasion band, The
Troggs, appeared for the venue's third show, the name had been changed
to its new moniker. The 1st printing postcard was printed before the concert in two different variants. 1st printing A is a vibrant pink, orange and green design by artist Jimms Nelson. A "#1" is in the lower left edge of the image. It measures 4" x 7" and was printed before the concert, presumably because the A variety is difficult to read.  more information or ... | Underdogs
of the 1960s British Invasion to heavy favorites like the Kinks, the
Zombies, and the Stones, the Troggs nonetheless wrote some truly
stellar garage rock. In addition to penning hits such as "With a Girl
Like You" and "Can't Control Myself," the band will forever be famous
for its rousing rock & roll anthem "Wild Thing." The Troggs
collaborated with members of R.E.M. for 1992's ATHENS ANDOVER, and
